Nag Panchami: Students and Faculty members at FVS celebrated Nag Panchami by worshipping Snake idols. Students had prepared beautiful snake idols for the same. Everyone wore traditional dresses and sang songs on the occasion.

Our school celebrated 71st Independence Day with great patriotic fervor, zeal and zest. The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by our Secretary Mrs. M. A. Padalkar followed by the patriotic renditions sung by Florians charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.
Pu La Deshpande Park, also known as Pune-Okayama Garden, is one of the largest gardens in Pune. The garden was built in inspiration of 300-year old Okayama’s Koraku-en Garden, hence the name. The garden contains natural flow of water from canal. FVS students enjoyed the children play area and the scenic walk paths, the landscape at the garden.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s 127 th Birth Anniversary was celebrated in the Flora Valley School with lots of enthusiasm and happiness. The function began with the formal welcome of students and teachers and introducing the agenda of the programme. It was followed by the lightening of lamp and worshiping the image of Dr. Ambedkar.
The government of Maharashtra has launched a six week long Measles-Rubella Vaccination drive, in the state since 27 th Nov 2018. Flora Valley School & Junior College, Khopi conducted it successfully in the school campus . Globally, an estimated 450 people, mostly children, die every day from measles despite the fact that an effective and safe vaccine is available at low cost. Rubella is an acute, contagious viral infection. There is no specific treatment, but the disease can be prevented by vaccination.
The English Day was celebrated in Flora Valley School with lot of fun and enthusiasm. The programme was introduced by the brief information about William Shakespeare and lightening of lamp. The greatest show man of English enchanted everyone by his achievements. The function began with the English Rhyme presentation by Jr. KG and Sr. KG students. It kicked off the show with pleasant note. It was followed by the story narration and poem chanting by Grade I students.
The festival of DahiHandi/ Janmashymiwas celebrated in FVS with enormous zeal. The whole environment was filled with joy as the Primary students made a pyramid and broke it.
Students of 4th and 5th visited Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar on 18th, 19th and 20th of January 2017. The educational tour enlightened the students about the history of Mahatma Gandhi, the beautiful temples, and mosques, food, culture, customs of Vibrant Gujarat. The students visited Sabarmati Ashram, Akshardham Mandir, Sabarmati riverfront, Meru Parvat, Adalaj Step-well, Gujarat Science City, Jami Masjid and Kankaria Lake during the 3 days stay in Ahmedabad.
